Comedy Sellers is a new stand-up comedy show located downtown on 4th street in Austin, Texas. It is a queer-friendly comedy show that premiers during the upcoming Austin Pride Week on Wednesday, August 23 at 9pm.
The Comedy Sellers concept, is based on a stand-up comedy show with a variety of people that identify across the sexual, gender, and race matrix. In an era of divisive labels, this show offers an honest sample of this large and ever-expanding community. “Our only goal is to make the best possible show we can,” says Colton Dowling, co-host of Comedy Sellers.
This first show will include Rachel Hall, Dallas native and witty stand-up known for her anecdotal/cringe comedy centered on her religious upbringing. She regularly performs at The Velveeta Room and Cap City Comedy Club.
Comedy Sellers’ first headlining comic will be Carina Magyar. She has appeared at Hell Yes Fest (New Orleans), the Funniest Person in Austin (placing 2nd), and at the local MoonTower Comedy festival in Austin. She is a single mother of two and openly talks about being a parent as well as her transition in gender identity. Creating intricate story lines, she draws large crowds regularly.
Comedy Sellers is brought to you by Colton Dowling and Andrew Horneman. Shows will take place at Sellers Underground on a monthly basis and are 21+ only!
