Live Consulting is looking to add a Desktop Technician to the team. LiveConsulting is an IT Consulting Company that supports small businesses that do not have in house IT staff. Desktop Technicians work in the field and remotely to facilitate user needs and troubleshoot common issues. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment where providing superior customer support is paramount.Live Consulting is a small company. This means that the right candidate will be able to work well with others (in the office and with customers). The right candidate will not know everything, but will have the ability to figure things out, ask smart questions, and make good decisions. Key skills and responsibilities include:• Accept assignments from supervising Network Engineer.• Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and/or electronically.• Travels to client locations to provide desktop support.• Diagnoses and resolves desktop hardware and software issues.• Researches questions using available information resources.• Advises user on appropriate actions.• Customer Service• Manages personal and team ticket queue. • Redirects problems to appropriate resources.• Customer Service• Identifies and prioritizes situations requiring urgent attention.• Tracks and routes problems and requests• Customer Service• Documents resolutions and updates knowledge base. • Helps keep client documentation current.In order to be successful in this position you will need to have strong technical aptitude, ability and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer skills will be key.
