Our fast paced community is in need of an experienced Assistant Property Manager. Our garden-style community is located in the North Plano area and has 400+ units. As an Assistant Property Manager at our community you will have the rewarding challenge of assisting in all areas of community operations. Specific Duties for this position will include but are not limited to:•Accounting month end procedures and weekly reports•Maintaining accurate resident records and accounts•Making rent collections, utility bill assessments and handling delinquent accounts •Working with outside contractors and vendors and ensuring timely follow up regarding maintenance requests•Handling all details of move-ins and move-outs including statements of security deposit•Providing excellent customer service, to ensure positive tenant and community relations •Handling renewals and tracking renewal activity•Inspecting and evaluating the property, recording deficiencies and notifying tenants to take any corrective actions •Providing administrative support and assisting the Property Manager•Assisting daily leasing duties which includes showing apartments, marketing and sales initiatives•Enforcing lease expiration control to prevent costly vacancies Job Requirements As an Assistant Property Manager you must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication and the ability to multi-task as you assist in the community operations. You must be able to manage and assist in a variety of areas. Specific Requirements for the Assistant Property Manager Include:•High school education or equivalent (GED) •2 years related experience as an assistant manager on a 300-400+ unit property•Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends •Excellent verbal communication, customer service and interpersonal skills •Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds •Multi-tasking and administrative skills •Strong working knowledge of basic computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office •Must be able to pass a criminal background, drug test and have a valid driver's license •Sales and Marketing experience, a plus •Organizational skills are necessary •Leasing or sales background •Must portray our company with a high level of professionalism BenefitsOur management company is dedicated to create value for our clients, residents and employees through our company-wide commitment to Service Excellence.
