The M2M Systems Engineer position is responsible for the support of the sales representatives by providing technical knowledge to clients and potential clients. They provide support in both pre and post sales by attending presentations, product demonstrations, and installations/implementations. The M2M Systems Engineer will provide a wide range of technical support to include consulting, engineering, and sales and integration services for a wide variety of products, systems and software.
Direct customer sales experience is required. Projects include: mobile data services, network security, advanced wireless technologies, wireless video, specialized software applications, systems integration and more. Must be willing to travel as necessary to support Feeney Wireless sales and support staff.
JOB DUTIES - Very knowledgeable in various networking technologies including TCP/IP, WLAN and WWAN -- certifications in relevant fields are necessary. - Responsible for installation oversight and ensuring customer systems are operating at optimal performance. - Understanding of Feeney Wireless products and services with the ability to recommend and determine the proper solutions and configurations of related equipment based on customer requests and technical environment. - Ability to convey complex technical information effectively in person, over the phone and through email correspondence. - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills -- an ability to assess and recommend the best solution based on the client's situation. - Troubleshooting and repair of complex mobile data systems. - Configuration and testing of mobile data hardware and software.
Other Duties/Responsibilities: - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Comfortable working in a very high visibility position. - Heavy emphasis on professional phone and extensive email correspondence. - Comfortable working with large and mission critical accounts. - Clear sense of integrity, work ethic and a sincere interest in building strong relationships and rapport based upon competency and trust. - Experience with and knowledge of using standard office applications such as MS-Office, Outlook and Windows platforms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree/experience in related technical field or a minimum of three years of related work experience. - CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) - A+ - Required (Well-known base level certification for general, vendor neutral, hardware and software) - Must be a U.S. citizen, due to Federal contracts
The following Certifications are desired, but not required: - CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) - Network+ (Well-known base level certification for vendor neutral networking.) - MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator)
