PSMJ Resources is seeking a full-time Writer/Editor to join its growing global team. The Editor will be responsible for developing, writing, editing, and researching content for our three paid-subscription journals as well as across a number of other channels (e.g. books, whitepapers, blog entries, etc.) to support our content-driven marketing program. This individual must have a PASSION TO HELP DESIGN FIRMS SUCCEED by developing the most relevant, thought-provoking, and action-oriented content. We are looking for somebody who truly enjoys digging deep to understand a specific customer needs and hot-button issues and delivering content tailored to these needs and issues. At PSMJ, we take pride in content that gets right to the point with a clear and powerful message and hard-hitting advice. Specific responsibilities include:• Leveraging our network of architecture/engineering industry professionals who contribute to our professional journals (e.g. solicit content from the contributors on specific topics, manage deadlines, edit submitted content, etc.) to produce our three paid-subscription newsletters each month.• Constantly seeking out opportunities to build our contributor network of the industry's best and brightest to contribute to our professional journals.• Developing original content through targeted research on industry issues and trends as well as case studies featuring our conference attendees, award winners, and other accomplished industry professionals.• Keeping an open line of communication with our current and past subscribers to continuously increase the value that our journals deliver.• Maintaining a constant flow of written content across business lines through leveraging our live programs and other resources to generate books, manuals, whitepapers, articles, and blog entries, etc.• Working closely with our marketing team and business line managers to provide content for use in marketing materials.• Planning and developing a pipeline of new content based on market needs, industry trends, and product obsolescence.• Attending industry events and scouting out other opportunities to stay plugged in to the business of architecture and engineering and the issues that matter most to our clients and customers.The ideal individual for this position will be an excellent writer with 5 to 7 years of journalism and/or publishing experience. Additionally, this candidate must be a go-getter who takes pride in his/her work and who can get things done. The candidate must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to immerse him/herself in the architecture/engineering industry.Familiarity with the architecture/engineering industry is a big plus.
